Artist Statement

My current body of work explores color, shape and texture through mixed media painting. I create figurative, abstract and still life paintings to reflect this. I work with many mediums, including acrylic paint, watercolor, oil pastel and glitter. My creative process varies, sometimes using collage to plan or improvising as I paint.

Bio

Nathalie O’Brien lives and works in San Francisco. She graduated from San Francisco State University in 2020, earning a Bachelors of Art (Concentration in Studio Art). She has shown work at SOMArts and Root Division.
